Set a reminder for yourself

There are two ways to set up a reminder for yourself to do a task

Option 1: Using /remind slash command

Goto any Rocket.Chat channel or Direct message and type /remind or /remind create from the message input field.

Option 2: Using Message Input Action Button

Available on Version 2.0.0 and above

1. Firstly, start a Direct Message with Reminder Bot (username: remind.bot)

   1. Goto Directory by clicking the globe icon on the top left menu

   2. Click on User Tab

   3. Search for remind.bot and click on the bot

2. After starting the Direct Message with Reminder Bot, click on the Plus Icon in the message input field on the bottom right - then click on Add Reminders

3. Fill in the reminder information like Date, Time and a short description of what you'd like to be reminded about and then click on Create

Reminder Notification

Once you've scheduled a personal reminder using one of the above-mentioned options, you'll receive a notification from the Reminder bot via a Direct Message, when the reminder is due. Here's a sample notification:
